PMS isn't that a B!+@#

According to my PMS regulator that I wear on my badge I am at high amount of hormones currently...
So, please excuse me this week if I sound a little B!+@#%...
Ever just have thoughs days where you have a random hair on your chin and you spend hours trying to pick it off your chin...
Or have you ever had thoughs days that you ask your self why do I care really...
I wish sometimes that I had a heart of tin or stone so that my heart would not care as much but much to my brains distern I can not help that feeling of caring about others...
You you can imagine when I uncovered a man tonight with a oxegen hose up his peni...
Tears to my eyes as I try and make him feel comfortable...
Alone and trying not to feel a burning pain to his leg he became hopeless...
This is why I say take my mind before my body starts to give..
He was a sweet man and I did what I could do...
I'm not sure I will not ever be able not to care..
and this is apart of what is wrong with me...

It seems you need to take a badly needed vacation. Someplace away from work where you can rejuvenate your body and soul. Good luck. If not for people like you who deal with those trauma patients, more of them die without your competent, quick response to those types of situations.

What a good person you are! I think the fact that you care makes such a difference in those peoples lives that you treat. People can sense kindness and caring and we all need it. I am the same though-it hurts to care sometimes and you wish you just wouldn't. But, you would not be the special you if you did not. I am glad you are there to help those who need you and that you do care. I am sure that you make a difference.

It takes a special person to take care of those in pain. Don't forget that in order to be a care giver you have to take care of yourself too! Thanks for sharing.

I only was a nurse's aide for 1 year. (I worked with the elderly people) and it's such a rewarding, but stressful experience.

How long have you been doing this?

Nurses were born with extra large hearts, in order to deal with all the broken hearted folks they tend to all the time. Your's is one of the biggest I think.
